Work Ready Action Program, WRAP for short, is currently the longest-running and most established project of Enactus Glasgow Caledonian University.
By partnering with schools around Glasgow and surrounding areas, we aim to enhance employability skills and confidence of pupils between the ages of 15 and 17 years old.
These young people shape our future, no matter their background, opportunities for education and future career prospects should be equal for all.
We help to develop and encourage the aspirations of pupils by delivering workshops and training sessions on:
CV Building and Writing
Writing Cover Letters
These skills are transferred by WRAP mentors who are trained prior to the sessions, by Enactus Partners and Staff from Glasgow Caledonian University.
Furthermore, the pupils of the partaking schools are given the opportunity to visit our GCU Campus and are given a taste of University life.
Currently, we are looking to partner with more schools around Glasgow Our project wants to create a platform where the pupils can have direct access to information regarding employment or further educational opportunities.
As a further extension of the WRAP project, we are collaborating with one specific High School to explore the possibility and benefits of Secondary Schools having their own Enactus Societies. So far, we have worked closely with the pupils to advise and help organise events in their local community.
The results have been extremely positive and we look forward to expanding our Project much further!
Seeing the project forward in 2018/2019 We have two extremely committed and enthusiastic Project Leaders of the WRAP Project, Julia and Manon.
